to be honest,i thought clarins was a cheap brand that didn't really do anything so i never really tried clarins until a good friend of mine that works at the Hollywood&Highland sephora showed me this SPF cream, you can't even really call it a cream because it is so fluid and almost looks like it is water based, this stuff is high in SPF, oil free, and dries up quickly leaving skin with a nice smooth texture, great product!

Pros: -high in SPF -oil free -dries quickly -leaves skin soft and smooth
Cons: none

For a physical sunscreen, I really like this. I usually can't wear most chemical sunscreens on my face because the chemicals would burn my eyes and I would start tearing. It has 13.9% Zinc Oxide and it’s very water-resistant. This sunscreen is creamy and thick. There is a lotion version for face and body, which I also like as well.  It’s a bit expensive, but worth it.

Pros: 13.9% Zinc Oxide
Cons: expensive

After reading about the new Helioplex formula, I had to try this. Helioplex is supposed to be more effective and better because it alows Avobenzone and Oxybenzone to work together to block the complete spectrum of UVA and UVB rays of the sun, similar to Mexoryl but for less than $10 bucks! I decided to go with a facial moisturizer with sunscreen which will save me time in the morning. I usually can't wear chemical sunscreens on my face, but this one didn't make my eyes burn or tear. I find the texture to be a bit thicker than a lotion and quite moisturizing. I think this would be suitable for normal to dry skin, which is what I have. When I first apply to my face, it feels a little sticky and makes my skin look shinny. I usually apply makeup next, but I won't wear it without makeup because of the shine. Not the greatest scent, but I don't care too much for smell because I dislike parfum products anyway.

Pros: moisturizing, cheap, sustain longer UVA absorbtion
Cons: sticky, smell, small tube (less than 2 oz)

I have relatively oily skin and was really looking for a strong SPF sunscreen that was oil-free. I used the SPF 55 and it was awesome - my face didn't burn and it went on clean and was not oily for the rest of the day. Awesome product and will definitely buy again and again and again!!!

Pros: light, non-oily
Cons: none

I have oily skin

This is an excellent sunscreen, but is quite expensive at $30.00 for a 3.4 ounce tube. I think it is WELL worth the price for the excellent protection. Meroxyl is one of the best and most reliable UVA screens out there. I use this under foundation on my face and neck.

Sunscreen is an area where I would definitely not skimp moneywise.

I will definitely repurchase this.

I am 46 years old and oily.

I am a huge fan of SCB, but they have changed the formula over the years. It used to be chemical free, now it is a mix of chemical/chemical free.

I actually like this better because at SPF 40, a zinc oxide sunscreen would not only make an oily break out more, but would be very light reflective. I splotched SCB SPF 15 on my husbands nose and he said it made it "glow" lol, so I think this change is a good one.

I love this under makeup and also if I want something that will protect right away (due to the chem free sunscreen) this is great for that!

I have purchased SCB for the last 17 years and it will always be a favorite!

i love this one. its texture is milky (maybe a bit too much), and spreads easily on the face. it is non comedogenic, not oily, and is waterproof. you can shake the bottle. it is a broad spectrum UVA&UVB sunscreen.
comes also in a SPF20 version (i use that one in winter).
it is pricey, but worth my money.
be careful not to put too much on your eye contour, it can make it itch a bit, like all susncreens.

Vichy Capital Soleil 50+   50ml

This is probably the best face sunscreen I've used in past few years. I bought this product at the Lake District
(great holiday destination for hiking, climbing and sailing..lots of outdoor opportunities) since the sunscreen I had then was too runny
which wasn't suitable in those activities.

This product is able to use on the sensitive areas (lip, eyelid)
doesn't make my eyes, stays on skin nicely and fragrance free.
:)

Price isn't cheap 12GBP( 23USD ) but I'll recommend to my friends and would like to  buy it again. I  bought 50+ because there wasn't much selection at the particular chemist, I'd like to try other products of Vichy in the future.

Thanks for reading.

Pros: no runny, no irritation
Cons: not being reasonable

This truly is a wonderful sunscreen. It's titanium dioxide-based and this is considered a 'physical' sunscreen, probably suitable for sensitive skinned individuals. It's not tinted per se but it has a fleshy color to it that seems to slightly 'erase' my imperfections, making it easier for foundation coverage.

It feels very light and comfortable on the face. I am extremely picky with sunscreens and find even the ones that claim to be 'non-oily' very greasy. But this truly was matte, sheer and just comfortable in general.

The packaging is great, it has several antioxidants and its packaging ensures the stability of the ingredients. The reason I gave the packaging rate 4 stars is because I wish it was a little bigger!

I also think the price is very reasonable. Keep in mind that this is a physical sunscreen which does not have a high PPD. So if you are looking for something with a really high PPD, this might not be for you. Otherwise, for all the reasons mentioned above, it's wonderful! I would definitely repurchase!

Pros: Sheer, matte, great ingredients, hypoallergenic.
Cons: Small tube

I was very disappoined with the new formulation of  this sunblock. I used to use the older version without sunblock which was easily absorbed, giving a matte finish. This one is extremely greasy, even after a while, it remained greasy..so it's definitely not 'dry-touch'. I have combination acne-prone skin so it's not suitable for it. If you have dry skin though, you just might like it.

There reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the ingredients. Neutrogena makes some of the best sunscreens out there and for really affordable prices. Their sunscreens provide strong UVB+UVA active ingredients that are photostable. So, if you're willing to sacrifice the greasy feeling - this might be for you!

Pros: Price. Strong, photostable active UVA + UVB ingredients in
Cons: Very greasy.
